About the event
Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, is the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates Dr. King's life and legacy for his work as a Civil Rights leader.
This Day "On" is a federal holiday that encourages volunteerism in-person or virtually in an effort to improve the lives of others and our communities. MLK Day of Serice: "Inequality is Unacceptable" will bring together students (50-75 high school-recent college graduates) with positive adult role models from the New York Urban League, Medidata, and The Royalty Project for an educational, interactive, and memorable 1/2-day program. This day will include motivational remarks, virtual workshops, lunch, and a QuaranTEEN party.
Workshops:
Meet with the team from Medidata for an engaging workshop on career exploration and readiness.
Engage with The Royalty Project for an interactive workshop on the missing history of the civil rights movement.
Connect with the team from the New York Urban League for a historical workshop on youth advocacy.
We would like to thank our sponsors Medidata & Door Dash!
